Meet the Team

Director - Adrian Webb

Adrian Webb is the founder, owner and Managing Director of Adrian Webb Electrical Pty Ltd. Adrian completed his electrical apprentice in 1999 graduating from Northern Sydney Institute of TAFE North Sydney Campus with a distinction as well as being awarded the Highest Achievement Award for first place in Certificate III – Electrical Mechanic - Fitter/Mechanic Trade. Whilst at TAFE Adrian also completed the required training to gain ACA (Australian Cabling Association) qualification as a licensed cabler for telecommunications cabling and later gaining qualification in the Category 5 Structured Cabling and Coaxial Cabling extensions.

Adrian started Adrian Webb Electrical in June 2001 as a sole trader with the clear objective to do things differently. Over the years Adrian had noticed the way most trades people went about their business and was confident “his customers” would welcome his ‘more professional’ approach.

Adrian has maintained his training as an electrician and over the years has carried out the following training and gained the following qualifications: Basic Alarm Installations, EcoSmart Electrician, numerous lighting courses including the Philips Master Contractor Training Course, Forklift Operation Licence, Basic Solar Training on Stand Alone and Grid Interactive Systems as well as several wiring rules refreshers courses, OH&S training programs, general safety related days and manufacturer run Product Training days to name just a few.

Realising that his background was as an electrician not as a business person, Adrian has also attended several business improvement courses and seminars. These include: Website and marketing training seminars, Worker’s Compensation information training, MYOB training, various sales training workshops as well as regular sessions with a Business Coach to develop skills in multiple areas of business such as financials, marketing and managing. Adrian (although not his favourite pastime) has also endeavoured to read many books covering all the topics listed above in an attempt to ensure that both he and his business is a success.

Outside of work Adrian loves to forget about work! He enjoys all types of sport either from the armchair, out on the field or in the water. Recently married Adrian is quickly learning to become a husband and a family man will be the next natural progression. Adrian’s other love is his 9 year young Alaskan Malamute “puppy” Kodiak. Adrian also enjoys spending time with friends over dinner or simply having a few beers with the boys.

Now in 2008 Adrian is no longer just a tradesman but a professional business owner. With a total of six full time team members and four Company vehicles, Adrian is focused on making his business “The Company of Choice for electrical work; renowned for reliability and superior service” and ensuring that his work ethic continues throughout the entire AWE team.

The Operations Team

Neil

Neil completed his electrical apprenticeship in 1999 successfully completing the City and Guilds qualifications whist working for his fathers business in the U.K.

Neil and his wife moved to Australia in 2004 shortly after getting married and in august that year he began employment with Adrian Webb Electrical Pty Ltd. Since joining the company Neil has maintained an up to date knowledge of changes within the industry. He has furthered his qualifications by completing the ACA Master Cabler licence for Communications as well as the Cat 5 Structured Cabling and Coaxial Extensions.

Committed to gaining the latest information Neil has also attended several manufactures product training days as well as completing courses in Energy Saving (EcoSmart Electrician), and Basic Solar training on stand alone and grid interactive systems.

Outside of work Neil is adapting to life as a new father as well as coping with the never ending jobs that are associated with being a home renovator.

Jay

Jay found Adrian Webb Electrical whilst looking for work experience in year 10 when he helped out for a week. Jay enjoyed the idea of becoming an electrician and decided to join the company to undertake an apprenticeship. Jay is also working towards gaining his electrical trade qualification through TAFE NSW. Jay has already learnt a huge amount of skills.

Outside of work Jay enjoys surfing and taking part in Rugby League and Touch Football. He also enjoys a good night out with friends.
